A year on and the Himalayan cat has given birth to her own playful kitten called Niusha- who also loves to cram herself into glass jars.
Niusha appears to be a chip off the old block as she squeezes herself into seemingly impossible positions.
Owner Yuriy Korotun, 37, who lives in Rostov-on-Don, near Moscow, said: 'I couldn't resist leaving a glass jar out to see if Niusha will climb in.
'Sure enough she started to squeeze her body into the jar. It was funny to watch because she was just like her mum.
'She's six weeks old now and loves to play with the jars and squeeze herself in small places.
'Ksyusha is too big to fit in the jars now and has a funny expression when watching Niusha. I sometimes think she is sad that she can no longer fit into jars.
'She looks disapprovingly at Niusha but I think she is may be jealous.
'I was originally going to sell Ksyusha but she was such a fun cat I decided to keep her and breed from her.
'She only had one kitten but she has a lot of character like her mum.
