A FORMER friend of Facebook paedophile Colin Blanchard told last night how he regrets having the pervert as his best man.

Mike Longson, 49, built up a computer business with Blanchard in the late 1990s. They sold it for a six figure sum.

The dad of two honoured Blanchard by naming him best man for his wedding in 2000.

But last night Mr Longson told of his disgust at the sicko's vile crimes.

He said: "It makes me sick to the pit of my stomach that I had a paedophile as my best man."

He added: "I always thought he was normal."

After selling their Empire Computers shop in Ashton-under-Lyne, Gtr Manchester, the partners set up Computer Bay at nearby Dukinfield in 2001.

But it failed and they fell out. Mr Longson, of Rochdale, said: "Everything went wrong and I ended up having to sell my house and live in a caravan.

"I wish that I had never met Colin. He seems to have caused misery to everyone."

Meanwhile, it emerged paedo pal Angela Allen stopped herself getting beaten by lags by pretending she was on remand for attempted murder.

A former inmate at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey said Allen told prisoners she had tried to stab a former lover.

Sarah Flynn, 31, from Croydon, who served six weeks for perverting the course of justice, said: "She came up with this story about being a traffic warden and trying to stab her bloke. If anyone had discovered the truth she would have taken a battering."

Another source claimed Allen learned her evil ways growing up in an orphanage run by "brutal" NUNS.
